MarkITx is building the NYSE of IT hardware to help enterprises recoup as much as 40% of their original IT investment (compared to the “pennies on the dollar” returns they get today). Similar to how Cars.com and StubHub disrupted their respective markets, MarkITx uses predictive algorithms to estimate the fair-market value of IT equipment and match buyers and sellers in real time.

You have an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of something big (the secondary market for used IT gear is $320-billion-big). Founded in 2012, back when we were rabble-rousing on the mean startup streets of 1871, our exchange has since grown to $100M in order flow with 1,500 users doing business on five continents. Come help us grow.

About you:

You’re a resourceful and self-motivated enterprise sales pro able to leap large data center equipment in a single bound while accelerating traction at a fast-paced B2B technology company. You relish the challenge of a hunt and want to lead the team charge to build liquidity on the exchange.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing comprehensive sales and account plans to achieve sales quota
  • Cultivating and maintaining senior-level relationships with C-levels at target accounts
  • Proactively identifying and developing new opportunities and qualified leads
  • Diagnosing customers’ business issues, latent needs or technology pain points and translate these into a compelling solution and vision
  • Negotiating pricing and always be closing contracts

You’re a great fit for MarkITx if you:

  • Have 8+ years of experience selling enterprise-class software solutions
  • Bring your portfolio of customers and knowledge of the IT market
  • Possess a good understanding of financial markets
  • Have sold the likes of Cisco, Juniper and other major OEMs
  • Boast a proven track record of exceeding quota targets in software sales
  • Can charm the hind legs off a donkey with just one meeting
  • Want to be part of the wisecracking A-Team, but happily check your ego at the door
  • Are hungry to succeed as a company and team first, individually second
  • Understand that with hard work comes great upside
