NextCapital has raised a $30 million Series C. The round was led by Oak HC/FT, a venture capital firm based in Greenwich, Connecticut. Existing investors Manulife Financial, Transamerica Ventures, Vermont Seed Capital Fund and Route 66 Ventures also participated in the funding. DialogTech acquires Swydo
DialogTech has acquired Swydo, a Dutch SaaS startup that creates digital marketing dashboards, reports and visualizations. Swydo’s software has been integrated into the company’s platform to create a new reporting tool called DialogTech Reports. Terms of the deal were not announced. [Press release]
Chicago tech raises over $150 million in December

Collective Health expands to Chicago
San Francisco-based startup Collective Health is opening an office in Chicago. The company, which builds software that helps self-insured employers purchase and manage medical plans, made the announcement on Faceboook. New Magnificent Mile coworking space announced
CoworkAtTheMall.com, a coworking startup based in Washington D.C., will open a location at Water Tower Place on Michigan Avenue this spring. The 12,000-square-foot space will feature desks along with rooms for meetings and events.
