Advise on travel industry, consumer financial and marketing legal risks; review and negotiate third-party contracts; translate legal requirements for business teams; collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Compliance, Business Risk, Corporate Communications, and Card teams to develop solutions and enable product initiatives.

Provide legal counsel and lead strategy for Discover Global Payment Network commercial agreements, product launches, and risk mitigation across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada. Negotiate and draft contracts, support fintech and payment innovation, partner with internal legal, risk, and business teams, and drive process and template improvements to enable growth.

Manages and negotiates procurement, vendor, and outsourcing contracts; advises Enterprise Supplier Management on legal risks, processes, and guidelines. The role drafts contract terms, coordinates stakeholders and outside counsel, manages transactional workflows, reports metrics, provides training, and supports procurement risk meetings. Travel to Capital One locations as needed.

Provide strategic legal advice on network participant risk for global payment relationships (issuers, acquirers, alliances). Translate laws and regulations into actionable guidance, develop participant-facing rules and commercial terms, advise product rollouts and processes, manage external counsel, and present risks to senior leaders, regulators, and policymakers.
