Own the strategy, process design, metrics, and partner success for Arketa’s embedded payroll offering. Design onboarding, support, escalation, documentation, and handoff processes; track operational performance; support complex partner relationships; manage the payroll provider; coach an Implementation Account Manager and Payroll Specialist; and coordinate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Customer Success to improve implementations and support.

The SMB Account Executive will prospect, generate leads, manage sales pipelines, conduct product demonstrations, and own new and expansion deals through close. The role requires meeting sales targets, forecasting accurately, understanding customer needs, coordinating with internal teams, and delivering a strong customer handoff. The ideal candidate has technology or SMB SaaS sales experience, strong outbound prospecting and communication skills, experience exceeding quotas, and familiarity with HubSpot.

Build customer-facing AI products and agentic automation, modernize core architecture, improve observability and CI, ship full‑stack features (TS/Node/NestJS/React/Postgres), mentor engineers, and influence engineering practices across the organization.

Build and scale payroll onboarding and support for Arketa Payroll. Guide customers through setup and migrations, troubleshoot payroll/tax/product issues, create documentation and help center content, and share feedback with Product and Engineering to improve the payroll experience.

Lead and manage a team of 6-10 AEs to exceed pipeline and revenue targets. Coach junior sellers via call reviews, deal coaching, role-plays, and training. Recruit and onboard reps, partner with SDRs and RevOps, build metrics and dashboards, design and iterate sales plays, and use AI (Claude) for analyses and enablement. Collaborate with Marketing, Success, and Product and contribute to sales strategy and forecasting.
