Lead state and local tax consulting and compliance services, including multistate returns, nexus and taxability studies, audit defense, due diligence, pass-through entity matters, tax research, and planning. Develop new business, service existing clients, collaborate with tax professionals, contribute to thought leadership and technology initiatives, and mentor staff.

Leads private client tax engagements, reviewing federal and state individual and fiduciary returns, projections, workpapers, and tax issues. Oversees return processes, manages budgets, billing, and engagement economics, identifies client service opportunities, and mentors staff accountants. Requires extensive public accounting and tax compliance experience focused on individual, fiduciary, estate, and gift taxation.

Conduct federal income tax research and analysis; support M&A tax structuring, internal restructurings, and domestic tax due diligence; draft tax memos, emails, and firm-wide alerts; and assist with federal income tax training. The role requires extensive experience advising on partnerships, S corporations, and/or C corporations, along with a law degree and strong tax research skills.

Leads the Employee Benefits Tax practice, serving as senior technical authority on deferred compensation, executive compensation, equity awards, retirement and welfare benefits. Advises clients on tax compliance, reporting, risk mitigation, compensation structuring, and M&A transactions. Reviews plan documents and filings, manages key client relationships, develops business, mentors professionals, conducts training, and supports recruiting and practice growth.

Lead and supervise FEMA-related consulting engagements supporting state/local disaster recovery programs. Ensure FEMA and 2 CFR 200 compliance, manage financial and accounting activities, expedite disaster closeouts, support business development, and guide team growth and quality of client deliverables. May involve travel and extended hours.

Lead and execute treasury and payment operations for clients, including payment processing, funding, reconciliations, internal controls, SOP creation, automation improvements, client communication, staff supervision, and ensuring compliance and accurate financial reporting.

Provide federal income tax research and analysis for partnerships, S and C corporations; support M&A tax structuring, internal restructurings, and due diligence; draft memos, firm alerts, and training materials; mentor and advance within the National Tax Office.

Lead national tax research and analysis on federal income tax issues including accounting methods, partnerships and LLCs; support M&A and internal restructurings; draft memos, firm-wide alerts, and trainings.

Provide tax controversy support including IRS examinations and appeals, penalty abatement and collection matters, tax research and memoranda, account correspondence, and assistance with training and thought leadership.

Oversee tax planning, compliance, and complex return reviews for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. Lead teams, maintain client relationships, provide tax consulting, supervise and develop staff, support business development and recruitment, and stay current on tax laws and accounting standards. Expertise in hedge fund K-1 treatment, trusts, estates, gifts, and charitable entities is required. Occasional local travel to client locations may be needed.
