Supports systems modeling, simulation, controls analysis, software verification and validation, and vehicle data analysis for advanced vehicle technology competitions. Develops MIL, SIL, and HIL workflows; evaluates hybrid and electric vehicle systems; processes automotive test data; and contributes to analysis tools, reporting frameworks, and technical guidance. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate provisioning (Terraform/OpenTofu), operate managed clusters (EKS/AKS/GKE), implement DevSecOps controls, configure monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana/Nagios), manage image registries, and provide production operational support and vendor coordination.

Leads operations for Argonne’s Nuclear Technologies and National Security Directorate, advising the Associate Laboratory Director and managing strategic and tactical operational delivery. Oversees fiscal management, risk, safety, quality, IT, infrastructure, space planning, workforce planning, security, administration, and communications through operational managers and subject-matter experts. Develops infrastructure roadmaps, drives continuous improvement, ensures policy compliance, manages cross-functional initiatives, supervises staff, and supports research mission execution in a DOE national laboratory environment.

Develop and deploy AI/ML methods (including LLMs/agentic AI) for tuning, diagnosis, control, and automation of particle accelerators. Test methods experimentally on the APS injector and upgraded storage ring, support operator decision-making, automate workflows, and analyze beam and system data.

Design, develop, and evaluate agentic AI systems for scientific discovery, integrating agents with simulations, data pipelines, instruments, workflows, and knowledge bases. Build methods for planning, memory, tool use, workflow orchestration, and decision-making. Deploy and scale systems in HPC/distributed environments, assess scientific usefulness, reliability, robustness, efficiency, and safety, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance Argonne's AI and scientific missions.

Develop learning-enabled imaging algorithms for 3D reconstruction and real-time adaptive acquisition of noisy synchrotron datasets; implement multimodal alignment and fusion of structural, chemical, and biological signals; collaborate with scientists across computational science, physics, biology, and environmental chemistry to guide experiments and analyze data.

Serve as division Information Assurance Representative providing expert guidance on information security compliance, safeguarding CUI and classified information, conducting reviews and classification determinations, coordinating publication and proposal reviews, enhancing review processes, and supporting Directorate security operations and policy alignment with DOE requirements.

Conduct research and develop post-training and reinforcement learning methods for scientific foundation models, optimize large-scale training and post-training workflows on leadership-class supercomputers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to apply adaptive learning systems to high-impact scientific problems, publishing and communicating results.
