Mechanical Intern supporting engineers on mission-critical, aviation, transit, and commercial building projects. Responsibilities include generating AutoCAD drawings, using HVAC load calculation software, researching engineering codes and standards, and completing calculations and other engineering tasks. Candidates should be at least sophomores in an accredited mechanical or architectural engineering bachelor’s program, with basic CAD, computer, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Leads the MEP engineering team across multiple offices, managing staffing, resource planning, project delivery, budgets, quality control, technical standards, recruitment, performance reviews, and business development. The role provides technical and organizational leadership for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineers serving aviation, transit, federal, and higher education projects. Candidates must have building design experience, a professional engineering license, and extensive experience leading MEP teams and alternative delivery projects.

Manage CAD standards, procedures, workflows, deliverables, transmittals, and quality reviews for transportation and infrastructure projects. Serve as the primary technical resource for MicroStation, OpenRoads, ProjectWise, and related Bentley applications. Develop 3D models, train and supervise CAD users, resolve technical and quality issues, maintain documentation, improve workflow efficiency, and ensure compliance with client standards and contracts.

Lead mechanical design for mission critical and data center projects: produce and review CAD drawings and calculations, specify and size equipment, coordinate MEP/FP disciplines, mentor designers, perform QA/QC, write reports and sequences of operations, and manage project deliverables, budgets, and schedules to codes and client requirements.

Lead electrical design for new construction and renovation projects (data centers, telecom, commercial). Serve as client contact, manage multiple projects and engineering staff, develop BOD/SD/DD/CD deliverables, perform front-end loading, write complex electrical studies/reports, ensure code compliance, mentor staff, control budgets and schedules.
