Build and deploy secure business automations and integrations across SaaS tools, internal systems, and APIs. Partner with stakeholders to identify high-impact workflow improvements, apply AI and agentic patterns where appropriate, and establish scalable engineering practices for documentation, testing, access controls, secrets management, logging, and maintenance. The role also helps shape automation infrastructure and team standards while collaborating with security and IT leadership.

The role requires independent research, hypothesis testing, strong communication, and hands-on experience with modern endpoint, identity, and ITSM platforms.

Lead the technical accounting function by researching complex US GAAP matters, documenting accounting conclusions, managing auditor relationships, designing SOX controls, monitoring FASB and SEC changes, and overseeing technical accounting close activities and disclosures. Partner with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and other stakeholders, develop scalable accounting frameworks and training, improve workflows, and support AI initiatives and process automation.

Own a customized enterprise client build as product owner while advising clients on solution design, requirements, feasibility, and implementation. Lead discovery, backlog management, sprint execution, and collaboration with engineering and product teams. Translate client feedback into repeatable scoping processes, product strategy, packaging, and pricing decisions. Manage value realization, adoption, customer health, and strategic growth for large lending-industry customers. Lead business reviews using performance benchmarks, develop account and enablement plans, guide adoption of AI agents, coordinate internal teams, manage recovery plans, and identify expansion opportunities. Serve as an executive advisor across mortgage, home equity, and consumer lending operations.

Build and maintain Blend’s scalable cloud banking platform across the full stack. Develop accessible front-end interfaces and resilient back-end services, use AI coding agents throughout the software lifecycle, review and harden AI-generated code, collaborate with product and design teams, troubleshoot defects, participate in code reviews and on-call rotation, and propose end-to-end engineering initiatives.

Own Autopilot, Blend’s AI agent product for mortgage and lending operations, as a business and product roadmap. Prioritize capabilities, define evaluation and quality frameworks, establish pricing and packaging, productize customer-specific solutions, and measure business impact. Partner with AI engineering, forward-deployed teams, customers, and go-to-market leaders to drive adoption, ensure compliance and auditability, and translate production learnings into scalable offerings.

Owns strategic relationships with major banks and credit unions, driving account expansion, renewals, retention, executive alignment, and revenue growth. Develops account strategies, leads QBRs, manages C-level relationships, identifies cross-sell and upsell opportunities, coordinates internal teams, oversees services spend, handles escalations, and maintains CRM reporting. Requires enterprise SaaS or fintech account management experience, preferably selling lending or digital banking solutions to large financial institutions.

Owns Blend’s SEC filings, external financial reporting, technical accounting, equity and lease accounting, audit management, SOX compliance, and reporting systems. Leads preparation of 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings; advises on U.S. GAAP and complex transactions; improves automation, controls, close processes, and data integrity; manages Workiva and related finance systems; partners with auditors, executives, investor relations, legal, tax, and FP&A; and builds high-performing reporting teams.

Own full sales cycle to acquire net-new enterprise banking customers ($20B+ AUM). Source and qualify complex opportunities, engage C-suite, build ROI-driven business cases, negotiate contracts, manage multi-stakeholder deals, and collaborate with Solution Engineering, Product, Legal, and Customer Success to close and expand accounts while maintaining Salesforce pipeline and forecasts.
