Performs entry-level legal research, investigations, administrative hearings work, and preparation of pleadings, orders, reports, legislation, and regulatory documents. Advises public officials, attorneys, witnesses, and interested parties on administrative and regulatory matters. Reviews petitions and notices, conducts depositions and limited negotiations, and supports legal and administrative processes within the Illinois Secretary of State’s office.

Coordinate and manage the Investor Education Program: develop live and virtual presentation content, outreach to community organizations, present statewide, compile program statistics, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, prepare confidential memoranda and reports, and handle administrative duties supporting the Deputy Director.

Source, screen, and build talent pipelines; collaborate with HR and hiring managers to recruit specialized roles (notably IT); maintain candidate tracking and metrics; refine recruiting practices; ensure positive candidate experience and onboarding support.
