The Business Manager will lead strategic initiatives, manage product development, oversee marketing efforts, and enhance credit performance while collaborating across various teams at Capital One.

The Sr. Business Manager will develop and implement business strategies, manage teams, and lead product and credit risk initiatives to drive growth and profitability at Capital One.

Serve as a front-line risk consultant partnering with business units to identify, document, and mitigate operational and enterprise risks. Develop policies, reports, tools, and presentations; manage stakeholder relationships and cross-functional projects; align processes with Capital One frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Lead identification, remediation, and process improvements for customer payment complaints. Use data analysis and AI automation to detect systemic issues, manage remediation projects, liaise with stakeholders, log risks in GRC, and maintain process documentation to improve customer payment experiences.

Manage a medium-to-large portfolio of construction loans (primarily LIHTC multifamily), performing monthly draw requisition due diligence, tracking budgets and BCAs, ensuring loan-document compliance, and overseeing loan lifecycles from closing to payoff or conversion. Serve as primary borrower contact, coordinate with internal/external partners, handle GL transactions and insurance compliance, and lead training and process improvement initiatives.

Manage a portfolio of construction loans (primarily LIHTC multifamily), perform monthly draw due diligence, verify documentation, track budgets and BCAs, handle ledger and interest transactions, monitor maturities and payoffs, coordinate with borrowers and internal/external partners, lead onboarding and training, and drive process improvements.

Own and manage end-to-end relationships with third-party suppliers. Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance and risk, lead governance and periodic reviews, perform basic sourcing, and identify cost-saving or strategic opportunities while collaborating with internal business and risk partners.

Manage and coordinate Divisional Model Risk Officer (DMRO) teams, maintain visibility into operations and validation plans, drive risk-reduction efforts, use BI and PM tools to analyze data, implement project structure, influence stakeholders, coach teams, and identify continuous improvement opportunities across multiple concurrent projects.

Lead and manage multiple cybersecurity, IT operations, and cloud audits across assigned portfolios. Develop audit plans, perform risk assessments, supervise audit teams, analyze data and test scripts, report findings, and maintain stakeholder relationships. Drive continuous monitoring, coach staff, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality audit work addressing cloud, application, and cybersecurity controls.

Own and optimize a large Cloudera/HBase/Kafka data environment while leading a phased migration to AWS-native serverless services. Design migration to avoid data loss, enable application teams to refactor consumers, enforce data governance/security, and modernize ingestion pipelines using AWS MSK, Lambda, and Glue.
