Develop the value proposition, product positioning, business use cases and message maps that resonate with target buyers. Identify and update the market fundamentals, including total addressable market, potential adjacent or look-alike markets, buyer personas and the buyer journey from awareness to purchase to customer and beyond. Document and communicate the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned—and how to win against them. Create and maintain customer case studies and communicate those to sales, product development and the organization. Collaborate on go-to-market plans with key stakeholders to support retention and expansion of existing customer accounts, revenue growth for product lines, and new customer acquisition. Train and enable sales teams on messaging, use of tools and assets to advance opportunity pipeline, accelerate and close deals; work to improve and optimize proposals and RFI responses; monitor and reinforce sales fluency in above. Regularly assess effectiveness of marketing programs and sales tools in collaboration with Marketing Operations and report back to the business on results and required changes. Act as an external thought leader for the products you support; coordinate and field key subject matter experts and customers for speaking engagements, press, analysts and written works.

The sales role - based in our Chicago office - is an entry-level inside sales position that quickly grows within this and other sales teams at Sphera. All reps will be ramped up with a progression of classroom and live practice to begin their sales journey. Once they establish a level of productivity and command of the role, our teams transition to focus on specific categories and more lucrative accounts.

As a member of our engineering team you will play a key role in developing and expanding our data, analytics and services platform. You will use your fullstack skills to find, load and structure raw data sets and then build complex analytics that support both our web-based data visualization tools and API products. You will build internal APIs and create complex business logic to interact with vendor APIs and cloud services.

Reports to the Chief Financial Officer, works with key business leaders, including the heads of Sales, HR, Business Development and Product Development. Works as corporate generalist with strong emphasis in corporate compliance, global entity/subsidiary governance and general corporate issues including substantive legal areas such as contracts, real estate, intellectual property, employment, and data protection.  Supports and manages acquisition diligence and transaction execution.  Supports customer contract negotiations. Enjoys a high pace environment working either autonomously or within teams and with business leaders.
