Entry-level Mechanical Engineer supporting a Senior Mechanical Engineer on process equipment projects. Duties include specifying and reviewing vendor documents and bids for pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, and heat exchangers; performing equipment and piping calculations; specifying materials for piping services; attending client/vendor/internal meetings; and conducting field surveys to collect data and interpret drawings and specifications.

Develop PFDs and P&IDs; perform heat and material balances, hydraulic and relief system analyses; size and rate pumps, vessels, exchangers; support HAZOP/LOPA; ensure safety and regulatory compliance; estimate and track budgets; present technical information and may supervise a small engineering team.

Perform civil/structural engineering and design tasks for power plant upgrades and new projects under senior supervision. Assist with calculations, modifications, equipment walkdowns, and design changes to improve plant performance, safety, and reliability. Work involves field and office duties, travel to client sites, and maintaining unescorted nuclear plant access.
